A rare Victorian glazed floral firescreen or room divider, circa 1870 - 1900, by W.E. Dawes, Naturalist & Furrier, 72 Denmark Hill, Camberwell, London.

 

This Victorian piece holds a colourful display of hand made silk flowers positioned and mounted upon various natural branches, enclosed within a period doublesided glazed firescreen or room divider, supported by an ebonised and gilt highlighted frame, with downswept legs on casters, original naturalist's small paper trade label to the interior lower left. 

 

An outstanding piece of craftsmanshift in excellent condition a truely rare find.
